Thigmonastic movement in sensitive plant

This is a non-directional movement (nastic movement / thigmonasty). Touch triggers electrochemical signals that cause movement of water out of pulvini cells at the base of leaves/leaflets. Loss of turgor pressure causes the leaves to droop and fold.
